During the inaugural Dushanbe International Tourism Exhibition (DITE), speakers hailed Tajikistan as the top tourist destination in Central Asia, including Pakistan. Business leaders from Pakistan actively participated by setting up booths and engaging in various commercial and industrial exchanges.

The event saw significant participation from industries such as handicrafts, tourism, and hospitality, resulting in multiple business deals, including agreements with the Tajikistan Chamber of Commerce.

Key speakers included:

Ahliddin Nuriddinzoda, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan

Kamoliddin Muminzod, Chairman of the Committee of Tourism Development in Tajikistan

Nuriddinzoda emphasized that Tajikistan’s tourism sector is undergoing significant innovation, driven by the vision of the country’s President, Imam Ali Rehman. He highlighted the central role of tourism in the nation’s economy, with opportunities across cultural, health, and adventure tourism.

Muminzod shared that Tajikistan’s natural beauty—including mountains, glaciers, rivers, and lakes—makes it an ideal destination for a wide range of tourism experiences. He noted that Dushanbe, under the leadership of Mayor Rustam Emomali, is spearheading the Tourism 2030 Vision, which aims to make Tajikistan a global tourism hub.

Tourism’s Economic Impact

Muminzod added that tourism significantly contributes to the country’s economy, attracting over one million visitors last year, a number expected to rise as infrastructure continues to improve.
