Vietnam Airlines is strengthening its international reach with a major expansion of its flight schedule from London Heathrow and across Europe for Summer 2025 and Winter 2025–26. Beginning 28 April 2025, the airline will operate five weekly nonstop flights from Heathrow—three to Hanoi and two to Ho Chi Minh City—before resuming daily service from 26 October 2025. All flights will be operated by the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
The five-star-rated national flag carrier will also introduce several exciting new routes in 2025, including a direct service between Ho Chi Minh City and Denpasar Bali starting in June, and nonstop flights from Milan to Hanoi launching in July. These additions underscore Vietnam Airlines’ commitment to enhancing connectivity between Europe and Southeast Asia.
UK’s Exclusive Nonstop Link to Vietnam
As the only airline offering direct flights from the UK to Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines operates exclusively out of London Heathrow’s Terminal 4. All outbound flights from London are conveniently timed for overnight travel, enabling smooth onward connections via Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to destinations throughout Vietnam, Asia, and Oceania—such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Australia, Laos, and Cambodia.

New Routes to Indonesia and Italy
In a major Southeast Asia expansion, Vietnam Airlines will begin direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Denpasar Bali starting 1 June 2025. This route will launch with four weekly Airbus A321 flights and increase to daily service in July. Once operational, the total weekly frequency between Vietnam and Indonesia will rise to 14 flights.
Also in July, the carrier will become Vietnam’s first airline to fly nonstop to Italy with the launch of a thrice-weekly Boeing 787 service between Hanoi and Milan. This new route brings the airline’s total European destinations to nine, with plans underway to add a Ho Chi Minh City–Milan connection soon after.
