VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) officially launched a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify a co-development partner for its Dorval hub project.
The initiative serves two key objectives. Firstly, significant investment in the Dorval station is essential to ensure that passengers continue to receive high-quality services and modernized facilities. Secondly, the project presents an opportunity to enhance operational integration with public transit networks across Greater Montréal, creating a seamless, multimodal travel experience for commuters.
Aligned with VIA Rail’s VIAction 2030 strategic vision, this project underscores the company’s commitment to becoming a leader in integrated mobility. The plan focuses on consolidating multiple transit services at a single, interconnected hub in western Montréal, improving accessibility and efficiency for passengers.
In collaboration with the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM), VIA Rail will ensure that the station’s development maximizes benefits for the broader transit network in Greater Montréal.
Interested parties have until May 9, 2025, to submit their proposals for consideration in the RFQ process.
