Following multiple incidents involving European travelers who faced detainment or were sent back home due to misunderstandings about the purpose of their visits or inconsistencies in their documentation, both the UK and Germany issued updated travel advisories for the United States.
A particularly troubling case that prompted this revision involves 28-year-old British citizen Rebecca Burke, who was detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents for 19 days after being denied entry at the US-Canada border on February 28.

The update highlights that US border authorities have been tightening their scrutiny, resulting in a growing number of detentions for those who do not meet entry requirements.
