Srinagar’s icy splendor shines as Dal Lake and Bhaderwah boost global travel with their stunning winter allure.

On a chilly Monday morning, as Srinagar felt the embrace of a cold wave, the renowned Dal Lake transformed into a mesmerizing scene, with its waters shimmering beneath a delicate frost layer.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the cold wave persists in Srinagar, where the mercury has dropped to a frosty -2°C. The forecast suggests a high of 7°C for the day under partly cloudy skies.

The Doda district’s Bhallesa area has become a scenic snowscape following recent snowfall, presenting a stunning white paradise.

In the meantime, the Guldanda meadow in Bhaderwah, part of Jammu and Kashmir, has seen a significant surge in visitor numbers.

Following snow removal efforts that cleared the Bhaderwah-Pathankot National Highway up to Guldanda, tourist activity has increased.

The expansive snowy landscape of Guldanda meadow has become a popular attraction, with tourists relishing the winter wonderland. The meadow, situated over 10,000 feet above sea level, draws large crowds eager to experience the snowy charm of this beloved Jammu locale.

Visitors have been captivated by the snowy vistas at Guldanda Meadow, often recommending it as a must-visit location. They encourage others to discover the unique beauty of Bhaderwah.

Remarkably, despite heavy snowfall that temporarily blocked roads to Guldanda and other attractions, diligent efforts by the District Administration, led by DC Doda Harvinder Singh and the Border Roads Organization, have reopened the Bhaderwah-Basholi-Pathankot highway, allowing safe passage for travelers.
