Salem Division: Fixed Time Corridor Block in February 2025 – Train Service Adjustments
Southern Railway has scheduled a Fixed Time Corridor Block in the Salem Division throughout February 2025 to facilitate essential engineering works. As a result, several train services will be fully cancelled, diverted, or partially affected during this period.
Complete Train Cancellations
On February 6, 2025, the following MEMU services will be entirely cancelled:
- Train No. 66611 Mettupalayam – Podanur MEMU (Departs at 08:20 hrs)
- Train No. 66612 Podanur – Mettupalayam MEMU (Departs at 09:40 hrs)
- Train No. 66613 Mettupalayam – Coimbatore MEMU (Departs at 10:55 hrs)
- Train No. 66614 Coimbatore – Mettupalayam MEMU (Departs at 11:50 hrs)
Train Route Diversions
Two express trains will operate on an alternate route via Podanur and Irugur, bypassing Coimbatore station:
- Train No. 13352 Alappuzha – Dhanbad Express (Departing Alappuzha at 06:00 hrs on February 6 and 18) will halt at Podanur at 12:17 hrs and depart at 12:20 hrs.
- Train No. 12678 Ernakulam Jn – KSR Bengaluru Intercity Express (Departing Ernakulam at 09:10 hrs on February 6) will stop at Podanur at 12:47 hrs and depart at 12:50 hrs.
Partial Cancellations and Short-Terminations
- Train No. 56809 Tiruchchirappalli – Erode Passenger (Departs at 07:20 hrs) and Train No. 16846 Sengottai – Erode Express (Departs at 05:10 hrs) will terminate at Karur instead of Erode on February 6, 8, and 10. This results in a partial cancellation between Karur and Erode.
- Train No. 16845 Erode – Sengottai Express, which typically starts from Erode at 14:00 hrs, will begin its journey from Karur at 15:05 hrs on February 6, 8, and 10. This adjustment results in a partial cancellation between Erode and Karur.
