Singapore Airlines launches up to 60% off flights for Hong Kong travelers to destinations in APAC, including Bali, the Maldives, and Australia, until October 15.
Singapore Airlines is offering up to 60% off flight tickets for Hong Kong travelers to popular destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, including Bali, the Maldives, and Australia.
As announced on their official website, this flash sale includes economy class fares starting from HK$1,500, inclusive of tax, for destinations like Singapore, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang. The promotional period runs from September 25 to 29, with travel options available until June 30 next year.
Discounted tickets to cities in Australia start at HK$4,070 for economy class, while tickets to the Maldives are priced from HK$4,695. The promotion will be open until October 15, offering substantial savings for travelers planning trips across the region.
This initiative by Singapore Airlines is expected to intensify competition in Hong Kong, putting pressure on rivals like Cathay Pacific and AirAsia, who have previously launched their own ticket promotions.
Cathay Pacific, for instance, gave away 12,500 free flight tickets from Singapore to Hong Kong as part of its global “Hello Hong Kong” campaign. HK Express, Cathay’s budget airline, also offered 100,000 tickets starting at HK$10 as part of their 10th-anniversary celebration.
In a similar move, Hong Kong Airlines distributed 6,800 tickets to destinations like Osaka and Bali through the “Click & Go” promotion, sponsored by Hong Kong International Airport’s “World of Winners” campaign, which aimed to boost post-pandemic tourism by offering 25,000 free round-trip tickets.
These efforts signal a growing competition among airlines to attract Hong Kong travelers, creating a wave of discounts and giveaways in the region’s airline market.
