Two premier cruise lines have unveiled their latest world-spanning voyages, offering travelers the chance to explore dozens of countries in ultimate luxury. Oceania Cruises and Silversea Cruises each announced extended itineraries, promising unique cultural experiences and unparalleled comfort.
When Do the New World Cruises Set Sail?
Silversea’s grand voyage is scheduled to depart from Miami on January 5, 2028, aboard the Silver Shadow, a boutique-style ship accommodating 392 guests. Meanwhile, Oceania Cruises will launch its 2027 Around the World Cruise on January 6, 2027, also from Miami. This epic journey will be aboard the Oceania Vista, a larger vessel that can host up to 1,200 passengers.
Where Will These Cruises Travel?
Silversea’s 180-day expedition will be structured into nine themed segments. The itinerary includes a rich exploration of the Caribbean, a passage through the Panama Canal, and an extended visit to Rio de Janeiro during Carnival. Guests will also explore Mauritius, Abu Dhabi, and a variety of other exotic destinations. With stops in 58 destinations and 17 overnight stays, travelers can look forward to immersive experiences such as a Colombian Coffee Workshop and an exclusive evening of dining, music, and dance at Peru’s Pedro de Osma Museum. The voyage will conclude in Nice, France.
Oceania’s world cruise offers an equally remarkable experience. The journey will commence in the Caribbean, pass through the Panama Canal, and continue with a scenic island-hopping route from Hawaii to Fiji. Passengers will then sail along Australia’s coastline, visiting cities such as Sydney, Cairns, and Darwin. A major highlight of this itinerary is an extended two-month tour of Asia, featuring stops in Thailand, Japan, and other cultural hotspots. The cruise will conclude in London, with options for extended 244-day or shorter 127-day versions.
How Much Do These Luxury Voyages Cost?
For those eager to embark on these extraordinary journeys, pricing reflects the level of exclusivity and amenities offered. Silversea’s world cruise starts at $74,900 per person, based on double occupancy, while Oceania’s 180-day adventure is priced from $76,199 per guest, also based on double occupancy.
