Scandic Hotels Group AB (publ) has announced the nomination of Lars-Åke Bokenberger as a new member of the company’s Board of Directors in advance of its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Nomination Committee highlights Bokenberger’s extensive expertise in property development and asset management as a key asset to Scandic’s strategic growth.
Lars-Åke Bokenberger’s Extensive Expertise
Lars-Åke Bokenberger, a seasoned leader in the fields of property development and financing, will bring a wealth of knowledge to Scandic’s Board. His experience spans key roles, including Chair of the Board for Wallenstam and Mattssons Fastighetsutveckling, as well as Vice Chair of Convendum Corporation. He also holds board positions with Ferroamp and Mertzig Asset Management. Bokenberger’s deep financial background and successful track record in asset management will complement Scandic’s strategic goals in a rapidly evolving market.
Re-election Proposals and Michael Levie’s Decision
In addition to Bokenberger’s nomination, the Nomination Committee has proposed the re-election of current Board members, including Per G. Braathen (Chair of the Board), Kristina Patek, Gunilla Rudebjer, Frank Veenstra, Fredrik Wirdenius, and Michael Levie. However, Michael Levie has decided not to seek re-election for the upcoming term. Scandic’s Board Chair, Per G. Braathen, expressed gratitude for Levie’s valuable contributions during his tenure.
