Saudi Arabia’s Tourism Development Fund is spearheading a SAR 1.4 billion ($372 million) project to establish a multi-use resort on Half Moon Beach in the Eastern Province. Covering an expansive 262,000 square meters, the development will be operated under the Rixos brand and managed by global hospitality leader Accor.
The resort will feature 400 hotel units, 41 residential villas, and a wide array of dining and entertainment options, marking it as the first all-inclusive coastal resort in the region. The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s national tourism strategy, aiming to boost the region’s quality of life, enhance the Kingdom’s GDP, and diversify its tourism offerings.
Funded by the Tourism Development Fund and bolstered by foreign investment from FTG International Group, the project highlights strong public-private collaboration.
