Royal Caribbean expands its Artist Discovery Programme to the Bahamas, offering local artists a platform to showcase the region’s vibrant culture at the Royal Beach Club.
Royal Caribbean is enhancing its Artist Discovery Programme by bringing it to the Bahamas, providing Bahamian artists with the opportunity to showcase the region’s rich culture through curated collections and performances.
The new expansion will offer guests at the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island more immersive ways to experience the beauty of The Bahamas while enjoying a day at one of the most sought-after beach destinations.
Philip Simon, President of Royal Caribbean Bahamas, shared his excitement: The Artist Discovery Programme will authentically embody The Bahamas’ enduring creativity and spirit at our Royal Beach Club. We look forward to offering our guests an in-depth and immersive experience of Bahamian culture by placing local art at the heart of their vacation experience.
A Platform for Artistic Expression
The programme will feature a dynamic range of artistic opportunities, including large-scale murals, dance performances, live music, and expressive sculptures—each capturing the vibrant energy of The Bahamas.
Artists will have the chance to shine throughout the Royal Beach Club, where guests can explore and engage with Bahamian culture. The resort will feature designated art districts, creating an immersive environment where visitors can appreciate the traditions, natural wonders, festivals, and the serene beauty of The Bahamas.
How to Apply
Bahamian artists, whether individuals or teams, are invited to submit their work for consideration. Submissions for murals, sculptures, live music, or performances must be sent by March 28, 2025. Each application should include five samples of previous work, a CV, and an artist statement. These materials will be reviewed by a selection panel.
The first round of selections will be announced in April 2025, with final choices revealed in May. The chosen works will be installed at the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island by July 2025, culminating in a grand unveiling scheduled for December 2025.
