Qatar Airways launches off-airport check-in in Makkah for Hajj and Umrah, offering seamless travel with baggage collection and quick check-in.

Qatar Airways, recognized as the World’s Best Airline by Skytrax 2024, has unveiled an innovative off-airport check-in service in Makkah, aimed at providing Hajj and Umrah pilgrims with a smooth and convenient travel experience. This initiative, launched in collaboration with Saudi Ground Services (SGS), allows passengers to complete their check-in formalities, obtain boarding passes, and have their baggage collected directly from Makkah. This streamlined process ensures a hassle-free journey to the airport.

Starting from 1 March 2025, Qatar Airways passengers departing from Jeddah can access this off-airport check-in facility at the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, a Fairmont Hotel. Conveniently situated at the hotel’s entrance from the ring road on L2, the service is designed to reduce wait times at the airport by streamlining the check-in process. This allows pilgrims to focus on their spiritual journey with greater ease and comfort.

The off-airport check-in service offers expedited departure procedures, with baggage securely transported to the airport, minimizing wait times at check-in counters. This initiative reflects Qatar Airways’ commitment to enhancing the travel experience for Hajj and Umrah passengers, ensuring comfort and convenience from the beginning of their journey.
