Norwegian Aqua completes its maiden voyage from Portugal to the UK, preparing for its grand christening in Miami with celebrity godfather Eric Stonestreet in 2025.
Norwegian Cruise Line has successfully completed the maiden voyage of its latest ship, the Norwegian Aqua.
Delivered earlier this month by the Fincantieri shipyard, the ship departed from Lisbon, Portugal, and made its way to Southampton, England, with over 2,000 invited guests aboard. After its inaugural journey, the Norwegian Aqua will set sail on a transatlantic route to the United States, where it will be officially christened in Miami on April 13, 2025.
Emmy Award-winning actor Eric Stonestreet has been chosen as the godfather for the ship’s christening ceremony.
Following the event, the Norwegian Aqua will homeport in Miami, Port Canaveral, and New York City, offering cruises to the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Bermuda until March 2027.
The Norwegian Aqua is the second ship in the Prima Plus Class, with the Norwegian Luna scheduled to join the fleet in 2026.
