Ohio County Tourism, Inc. proudly unveils the recipients of its 2025 Marketing Grants.
During its January meeting, the Ohio County Tourism board of directors approved nearly $30,000 in grants to support 12 community events, all aimed at boosting tourism in Rising Sun and Ohio County throughout 2025.
The grants are designed to assist not-for-profit organizations with marketing expenses, including brochures, posters, advertising, banners, signs, and more, for events held exclusively within Rising Sun/Ohio County.
This year’s grant recipients include the Ohio County Historical Society for hosting the Spring Market, Spring Tea, History Camp, Chili Cook-Off, Christmas Market, and Christmas Tea. Additional support has been awarded to the Ohio County Youth Development, Inc., for the 4-H Fair and Open Beef Preview Show; the Rising Sun Band Boosters for the Shiner Pride Car Show, the Navy Bean Fall Festival organized by the City of Rising Sun, the Catfish Tournament hosted by the Ohio Valley River Cats, and the Christmas Train Show by the Conductors of Indiana Train Club for the Christmas Train Show. for the Christmas Train Show.
These grants highlight Ohio County Tourism’s commitment to fostering local events that attract visitors and showcase the unique charm of the Rising Sun community.
