Construction is progressing steadily, and the project is expected to be completed by the time the monsoon arrives, providing travelers with a faster and more efficient route.

As per media reports, this expressway is expected to be accessible to the public between May and June 2025. The new route aims to significantly reduce travel time and provide a more seamless journey for commuters.

At present, the journey from Mumbai to Goa takes approximately 12 hours. However, with the completion of this expressway, the travel duration will be slashed to just 6 hours, offering a faster and more convenient alternative for travelers.

This development brings exciting news for travelers planning a trip to Goa. The new expressway will stretch from Panvel in Navi Mumbai to Sindhudurg, passing through key regions such as Raigad and Ratnagiri.

The project is being executed through a joint effort between the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the National Highways Public Works Department (NH-PWD). Delays occurred due to ongoing construction of bypasses, flyovers, and underpasses in areas like Indapur, Pali, Kolad, and Chiplun. However, officials have assured that the primary sections of the route will be completed before the onset of the monsoon.
