Malaysia Airlines launched its first Kuala Lumpur-Da Nang flight, enhancing connectivity and boosting tourism between Malaysia and Vietnam’s coastal city.

Malaysia Airlines’ Flight MH748 touched down at Da Nang International Airport on Tuesday, carrying 160 passengers from Kuala Lumpur. This flight marked the inaugural journey on the new Kuala Lumpur-Da Nang route, which will now operate seven times per week. The increased connectivity will help boost the number of weekly flights between Da Nang and Kuala Lumpur to a total of 28.

Malaysia ranks among the top ten sources of international tourists visiting Da Nang. Last month, Da Nang’s leadership visited Malaysia and met with Malaysia Airlines to discuss promoting the new route and enhancing tourism cooperation.

Da Nang officials and Malaysia Airlines executives outlined plans for collaboration. The tourism industry will work closely with the airline to organize familiarization trips for travel agents, press trips, and influencer-led marketing initiatives.

With Malaysia Airlines’ extensive network across Asia, Europe, and Oceania, covering nearly 1,000 destinations in over 170 countries, the airline is positioned to help Da Nang expand its tourism market globally.

The launch of the Kuala Lumpur-Da Nang route is expected to attract more Malaysian tourists, boosting the local economy and enhancing cultural exchange between the two regions.
