The Majestic Princess has arrived at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Palermo, Italy, for its scheduled drydock. This marks the ship’s return to Europe after an eight-year absence, with its arrival at the facility on March 11, 2025.

During its drydock, the vessel will undergo routine maintenance, class inspections, and technical work. The 3,600-passenger ship will also receive minor updates to its public spaces, cabins, and suites before resuming service in early April.

Originally built for the Chinese market, the Majestic Princess entered service with Princess Cruises in 2017. After completing a winter season in South America and the Caribbean, the ship made its way to Europe in early March.

The 141,000-ton vessel completed a seven-night Western Mediterranean cruise before entering drydock. Upon its return to service on April 1, the ship will begin its summer program, featuring a variety of seven- to 33-night cruises across the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.

Among the cruises on offer is the “Grand Mediterranean” itinerary, which visits iconic destinations in Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Spain, including Naples, Palermo, Chania, Piraeus, Kusadasi, and Palma de Mallorca.

Following its Mediterranean voyages, the Majestic Princess will sail to Northern Europe in July. In August, the ship will head to North America for the first time, offering seven- to 10-night cruises to Canada and New England, departing from Boston and Quebec City. Ports of call will include Charlottetown, Saguenay, Halifax, and Portland.

The ship will then return to the Caribbean for the 2025-26 winter season, with cruises departing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
