Ljubljana is set to host the annual LUV Fest—Festival of Love, Art, and Rambling—from February 8 to March 12, 2025.
The festival begins on Prešeren Day, honoring Slovenia’s esteemed poet France Prešeren, and concludes on March 12, traditionally marking the start of birds’ courtship.
Throughout the festival, Ljubljana’s city center will transform into an open-air art gallery.
A highlight includes a new light and sound installation by artist Tilno Sepić, featuring five luminous spheres floating above the river in circular motions, creating an endless dance of light bodies.
Additionally, charming birdhouses will adorn Wolf Street, symbolizing love and the arrival of spring.
The festival offers a diverse range of experiences, including thematic guided tours, workshops, film screenings, exhibitions, music and dance events, and activities for singles and families with children.
Visitors can enjoy special LUV evenings at the Computer Museum in the cultural quarter of Šiška, explore LGBTQ+ Ljubljana with young guides, or discover love stories at the City Museum or Vila Zlatica.
LUV Fest aims to celebrate love in all its forms—romantic, cultural, and communal—by bringing together local artists, cultural institutions, and businesses.
The festival not only enriches the city’s cultural scene but also contributes to the local economy and community building.
