As the summer 2025 season approaches, Ljubljana Airport is gearing up for its busiest and most diverse timetable yet. A record 24 airlines will operate flights to 26 destinations, with two new carriers—Dutch KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and German low-cost airline Eurowings—joining the lineup. Together, these additions will increase the number of weekly scheduled flights to over 170, marking a significant boost in Slovenia’s air connectivity.
Starting from March 30, 2025, the new summer schedule promises a broad array of travel options, catering to both business and leisure travelers. The addition of KLM and Eurowings will offer enhanced connectivity to key European hubs, while more frequent flights to major destinations will further elevate the airport’s global reach.
KLM Expands with Daily Amsterdam Flights
KLM is expanding its presence at Ljubljana Airport, introducing daily flights to Amsterdam starting March 30. This will bring the total number of weekly flights to the Dutch capital to 11, in combination with Transavia. The addition of this daily service will offer travelers a greater variety of flight options and strengthen Slovenia’s connection to Amsterdam and beyond, with KLM’s extensive global network.
Eurowings Strengthens Low-Cost Travel with Düsseldorf Connection
Eurowings, known for its affordable travel options, will launch a new route from Ljubljana to Düsseldorf starting April 12, 2025. The low-cost carrier will operate three weekly flights to the German city, offering passengers a convenient gateway to Europe’s major capitals and holiday destinations. Eurowings’ entry into Ljubljana’s network will be a game-changer for budget-conscious travelers.
Increased Flight Frequencies from Established Airlines
In addition to the two newcomers, several airlines are ramping up operations to key destinations. Turkish Airlines will increase its flights to Istanbul to 18 per week starting in June, while British Airways is set to expand its London Heathrow service to eight flights per week by June. SWISS Airlines will also offer 12 weekly flights to Zurich during the summer season, further strengthening Slovenia’s connectivity to major European hubs.

Several returning airlines will also enhance the summer schedule with new and expanded routes. Norwegian will resume flights to Copenhagen on March 31, while Finnair and Transavia France will begin their seasonal services to Helsinki and Paris Orly, respectively, on April 11. Additional services to destinations such as Athens, Tel Aviv, Madrid, and Tivat will also be available.
