Lepakshi tourism is making a shift as the celebrations planned for September 27 (Friday) have been moved to Sai Aram in Puttaparthi, Sri Sathya Sai (SSS) district, due to adverse weather conditions and heavy rain forecasts from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). This change aims to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees despite the challenging weather.

Tourism officials have finalized arrangements for the cultural programmes and puppet shows, now set to begin at 5 p.m. on the same day. The new venue is expected to provide a welcoming atmosphere, allowing participants to fully engage with the festivities.

The event will feature a variety of performances by local artists, celebrating the district’s rich cultural heritage. To enhance visitor engagement, officials will display informative boards promoting local attractions, encouraging attendees to explore the area’s hidden gems.

Encouraging Sustainable Tourism and Community Involvement

In addition to the cultural celebrations, there is a strong emphasis on promoting sustainable tourism practices during the event. Officials are working to educate attendees about responsible travel and the importance of preserving local culture and heritage. This initiative aims to foster a sense of community and pride among residents while encouraging visitors to respect and engage with the region in a meaningful way. By integrating these values into the celebrations, Lepakshi aims not only to attract tourists but also to ensure that the cultural and natural beauty of the area is preserved for future generations.
