Kerala Tourism has announced the winners of its 3rd International Online Painting Competition for Children, an event that saw an incredible 57,308 submissions from 132 nations. Focused on the theme “Kerala’s Village Life,” the contest provided a platform for budding artists aged 4 to 16 to express their creativity and appreciation for rural Kerala.

Celebrating Artistic Excellence

Among the talented participants, Steven David from Bangladesh emerged as the top winner in the international category. Madhuri Singh from Rajasthan secured first place among Indian state entries, while Kerala’s own Varnana Ratheesh claimed the top honor for the state-level competition. Their remarkable artworks depicted the essence of Kerala’s countryside, showcasing its culture, traditions, and natural beauty.

A Journey to Remember

As a reward, the winners and their families will embark on a five-day exploration of Kerala’s most stunning locations, culminating in a prestigious award ceremony in the state capital. This special tour aims to not only celebrate their artistic achievements but also immerse them in the enchanting landscapes and rich traditions of Kerala.

This competition was a key component of Kerala Tourism’s efforts to position the state as a sought-after travel destination worldwide. It received an extraordinary response, with 46,066 participants representing 132 nations. Among the entries, 4,620 were from international contestants, 46,464 from different Indian states, and 6,224 from within Kerala itself.

Through this initiative, Kerala Tourism successfully combined art, culture, and tourism, engaging young minds and reinforcing the state’s reputation as a land of artistic and scenic wonders. By encouraging global participation, the event continues to bridge cultures and highlight Kerala’s rich heritage on the world stage.
