This week in Glasgow, a delegation of 33 Irish tourism businesses, including hotels, visitor attractions, and regional tourism organizations, are participating in Tourism Ireland’s inaugural event of 2025 in Scotland. The event, a key B2B workshop and networking opportunity, connects these businesses with top British travel professionals including tour operators and travel agents.
Throughout 2025, Tourism Ireland is committed to showcasing Irish tourism operators on an international platform, fostering connections with significant players in the global travel industry and organizing 30,000 commercial meetings.
Judith Cassidy, Tourism Ireland’s Acting Head of Great Britain, said: “We’re really pleased that so many of our tourism partners from the island of Ireland have joined us in Glasgow this week, highlighting our tourism offering to the influential tour operators and travel agents in attendance. This workshop is a great opportunity to remind these travel professionals why Ireland is the ideal choice for their clients for a short break or holiday in 2025.”
The strategic goal of Tourism Ireland for the upcoming year is to enhance the economic impact of international tourism to Ireland and support local communities by driving revenue throughout the regions, especially during off-peak times. At the heart of their strategy is sustainable development, with a particular emphasis on attracting tourists who engage more extensively with the culture and environment, thus increasing their economic contribution during their stay.
