Uttar Pradesh partners with Golden Triangle Fort & Palace Pvt. Ltd to transform Roshan-ud-Daula Kothi, Chhatar Manzil, and Chunar Fort into luxury heritage hotels.

Uttar Pradesh is set to elevate its heritage tourism with a new agreement signed for the development of Roshan-ud-Daula Kothi, Chhatar Manzil, and Chunar Fort. The state’s Tourism Department has partnered with Golden Triangle Fort & Palace Pvt. Ltd to transform these historic landmarks into luxury heritage hotels.

Inspired by the grandeur of Suryagarh in Jaisalmer, the redevelopment aims to blend historical preservation with modern hospitality. The project will be managed by Suryagarh Collection, a hospitality brand renowned for its work on Suryagarh in Jaisalmer, Narendra Bhawan in Bikaner, and Mary Budden Estate in Binsar. These sites will undergo restoration using traditional materials while integrating contemporary elements to maintain authenticity.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh emphasized that this initiative, under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, will enhance heritage tourism and create new opportunities for destination weddings in Uttar Pradesh. The project will also support local employment, promote ODOP (One District, One Product) goods, and highlight regional culture, cuisine, and crafts. Additionally, nearby villages will be developed to enrich the tourist experience.

The initiative aligns with the state’s “Development with Heritage” mission, which seeks to revamp forts, havelis, haunted sites, and mansions, making them vibrant cultural destinations. With this partnership, Uttar Pradesh is set to redefine its historical treasures, attracting both domestic and international travelers.
