IHG Hotels & Resorts, a global leader in the hospitality industry, is excited to announce the debut of its first Vignette Collection property in France. This significant milestone highlights IHG’s ongoing European expansion and further reinforces the company’s commitment to offering exceptional luxury experiences. Set to open in 2026, the new property will encompass two iconic hotels, Tiara Miramar and Tiara Yaktsa, which will undergo a transformation under the Vignette Collection brand while preserving their distinctive charm and storied histories.
Nestled in the charming town of Théoule sur Mer, with stunning views of the Massif de l’Esterel, the hotel promises a blend of serene beauty and luxury. Guests will enjoy the perfect mix of nature and sophistication, with a wide range of activities nearby, including hiking trails and water sports. The hotel will also feature a state-of-the-art event space designed for any occasion, as well as Michelin-starred dining, several swimming pools, a gym, spa, and a stylish bar, making it an ideal destination for those seeking both relaxation and adventure.
Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “The signing of the first Vignette Collection in France aligns perfectly with our luxury and lifestyle growth plans across Europe, as we focus on accelerating the expansion of new brands across priority markets, including France, whilst establishing one-of-a-kind properties in sought-after urban and resort locations.”
The opening of this French property marks a key step in the rapid growth of the Vignette Collection. Within just three years, the collection has surpassed 50 hotels worldwide, moving closer to its goal of adding 100 properties over the next decade. This expansion includes other European landmarks, such as Verno House in Budapest and The Halyard in Liverpool, both of which joined the collection last year.
The Vignette Collection in France also brings IHG’s sixth luxury and lifestyle brand to the country, joining an impressive lineup of IHG brands already represented in the region. These include renowned names such as Carlton Cannes (a Regent Hotel), Kimpton St Honoré Paris, InterContinental Lyon – Hotel Dieu, Hotel Indigo Paris – Opera, and Six Senses Courchevel.
The Vignette Collection is designed for independent hotel owners looking to enhance their properties’ offerings through IHG’s powerful technology, operational expertise, and loyalty programs, without sacrificing their unique character or identity. This collection appeals to travelers who crave exceptional, one-of-a-kind stays, while enjoying the confidence of IHG’s global reputation and extensive loyalty rewards.
“I’m excited to be working alongside our long-standing partners at GHR to bring the first Vignette Collection to this market, and to strengthen our luxury and lifestyle offering along the Côte d’Azur. Together with GHR, we have seen great success with our existing properties – InterContinental Lisbon and Crowne Plaza Porto – and are now delighted to bring forward a unique hotel in a prestigious and internationally recognised location. With IHG’s trusted reputation and leading loyalty offer, we are confident that the hotel will cater to the growing demand for authentic, curated hospitality experiences.”
With the addition of this property, IHG further strengthens its presence on the French Riviera, helping to solidify the region’s reputation as a premier luxury destination. Global Hotels & Resorts, a key partner in this venture, has been instrumental in promoting the local tourism industry in Théoule sur Mer and continues to play a pivotal role in the area’s economic development. The collaboration between IHG and Global Hotels & Resorts is set to elevate the French Riviera’s standing as a world-class luxury travel hub.
Once open, this stunning new hotel will be part of IHG’s broader portfolio in France, which includes 70 hotels across ten brands, along with 12 more in the pipeline.
“Our objective is to sustainably grow our portfolio of exceptional properties and of solid investments, and to generate value and wealth generation after generation, said Sheikh Mohammed Youssef El Khereiji, Founder, Global Hotels & Resorts. “We are proud to partner once again with IHG Hotels & Resorts to bring a Vignette Collection property to France, marking an exciting new chapter for our Tiara Miramar and Tiara Yaktsa hotels. Having worked together successfully on properties like InterContinental Lisbon and Crowne Plaza Porto, we knew that combining IHG’s trusted reputation with our vision and commitment to delivering world-class hospitality would create something exceptional. The French Riviera, with its timeless appeal and global recognition as a luxury destination, was the perfect choice for this venture. We look forward to offering Luxury & Lifestyle travellers a truly unique and unforgettable experience when the property opens in 2026.”
