IHG Hotels & Resorts a global leader in the hospitality industry, is set to strengthen its footprint in Germany with the signing of Holiday Inn Ratingen, situated near Düsseldorf. This collaboration with multi-hotel operator tristar GmbH will transform an existing property into a fully renovated Holiday Inn, slated to welcome guests in the latter half of 2025. This addition underscores IHG’s commitment to expanding its presence in Germany’s secondary markets, offering the hallmark warmth and reliability of the Holiday Inn experience in a fresh destination.
Once open, the hotel will cater to both leisure and business travelers with a range of thoughtfully designed amenities. Guests can enjoy a full-service restaurant featuring the beloved ‘Kids Stay & Eat Free’ program, a vibrant bar, and five meeting spaces perfect for social and corporate events. The hotel will also introduce the signature Open Lobby concept, a versatile and stylish area that allows visitors to seamlessly work, connect, or unwind.
Nestled in the charming town of Ratingen, the 134-room property offers easy access to nearby attractions and business hubs. Just a short drive from Düsseldorf, Germany’s fashion and cultural hub, guests can explore iconic spots such as the prestigious Königsallee shopping street, the historic Altstadt (Old Town), and the Kunstpalast art museum.
Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with tristar GmbH – one of our longest-standing and valued partners in Northern Europe.
