Hawaiian Airlines has announced that passengers can now enjoy complimentary high-speed, low-latency Wi-Fi powered by Starlink on all Airbus-operated flights between the Hawaiian Islands and the continental U.S., Asia, and Oceania.

Initially, Hawaiian made headlines in February by becoming the first major U.S. airline to implement Starlink on its Airbus A321neo aircraft. The airline has since completed the installation of Starlink across its entire fleet of 24 A330 aircraft.

Travelers can easily connect to Starlink as soon as they board, allowing for seamless internet access that supports work, video streaming, and gaming at home-like speeds.

“Becoming the first major airline to offer travelers Starlink at no cost is a remarkable achievement for our team, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response from guests who have been enjoying our industry-leading connectivity onboard,” said Evan Nomura, director of inflight entertainment and connectivity and onboard products at Hawaiian Airlines.

Hawaiian Airlines has identified Starlink’s low-Earth orbit satellite constellation, featuring an innovative laser mesh network, as the perfect solution for delivering reliable, high-speed, low-latency connectivity across its global routes. Since launching Starlink on its Airbus fleet, Hawaiian has experienced exceptional performance, with no service interruptions even over the most remote areas of the Pacific Ocean.

In addition to its Airbus A330s and A321neos, Hawaiian plans to expand Starlink installation to its flagship Boeing 787-9 fleet. However, the airline does not intend to offer this service on its Boeing 717 aircraft, which operate short-haul flights between the islands.
