Gulf Aviation Academy (GAA), the training arm of Gulf Air Group, has been awarded the prestigious Bahrain Higher Education Award in recognition of its commitment to delivering high quality aviation training programmes.
The award ceremony took place during the Bahrain International Airshow, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, from November 13th to 15th, 2024.
The award highlights GAA’s dedication to providing world class education and training that meets international standards and contributes to the development of the aviation industry in Bahrain.
Key programmes accredited under the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) by the Education and Training Quality Authority include the A320 Type Rating Course, recognised at the bachelor’s degree level (Level 8), equipping pilots with the skills and knowledge required to operate A320 aircraft.
The Initial Cabin Crew Training Programme received diploma-level recognition (Level 6), offering comprehensive training in safety, service, and emergency procedures for aspiring cabin crew.
Additionally, the ICAO 051 Air Traffic Control Basic Course was accredited at the associate diploma level (Level 7), providing a solid foundation for air traffic control careers.
The ICAO 052 Aerodrome Control Course achieved bachelor’s degree level recognition (Level 8), preparing individuals for the challenging role of aerodrome controller.
