Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Expands in Europe with 25 New City Hotels, Strengthening Presence in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands

With international travel in Europe surpassing 747 million arrivals in 2024, hospitality brands are seizing opportunities to meet rising demand. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s largest hotel franchisors, is accelerating its European expansion by adding 25 new city hotels to its portfolio. This strategic growth bolsters Wyndham’s presence in major destinations across Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, reinforcing its commitment to offering travelers a diverse range of high-quality accommodations.
Strengthening a Key Partnership with HR Group

This ambitious expansion is a result of Wyndham’s long-standing partnership with HR Group, one of Europe’s leading hotel operators. The newly integrated hotels will be rebranded under two of Wyndham’s established brands:

  • Trademark Collection by Wyndham – A collection of independent and character-rich hotels designed for travelers seeking unique and upscale stays.
  • Vienna House Easy by Wyndham – A contemporary brand focused on stylish yet affordable accommodations, catering to both leisure and business travelers.

The 25 new hotels are strategically positioned in key urban locations, ensuring proximity to business districts, cultural attractions, and major transportation hubs. This expansion reflects Wyndham and HR Group’s shared vision of strengthening their footprint in high-demand European markets while enhancing guest experiences with consistent quality and service.

“Europe’s travel industry is experiencing a remarkable upswing, with record numbers of visitors and business travellers in cities and regions, as well as increasing attendance at events,” said Dimitris Manikis, president EMEA at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “Together with the HR Group, we are sending a strong signal of our presence in key markets with this expansion and creating even more attractive accommodation options in sought-after city destinations.”

Prime Locations in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands

These newly added hotels offer convenient and immersive stays in some of Europe’s most sought-after destinations. Whether guests are traveling for business, culture, or leisure, each property is situated in a prime location to cater to a variety of needs.

  • Germany: Wyndham’s expansion in Germany further cements its presence in one of Europe’s strongest hospitality markets. The new hotels are located in major cities, business hubs, and key cultural centers, allowing travelers to explore local heritage while staying connected to corporate and transport networks.
  • Austria: A key highlight of this expansion is the Fourside Hotel Salzburg, which now operates under the Trademark Collection by Wyndham. Situated in Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart, this hotel provides an ideal base for visitors looking to explore the city’s UNESCO-listed Old Town, baroque architecture, and stunning Alpine surroundings.
  • Netherlands: Travelers heading to the Netherlands can enjoy a seamless experience at Vienna House Easy Amsterdam, conveniently located near the airport. Designed for both business and leisure travelers, this property offers easy access to Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam’s city center, making it a preferred choice for transit guests and extended stays.

The integration of the hotels into the portfolio of the Trademark Collection and Vienna House Easy by Wyndham marks a significant milestone, said Ruslan Husry, chairman and CEO of HR Group.

“By combining Wyndham’s global reach, advanced technology and renowned loyalty program with HR Group’s local expertise and extensive operational experience, we are creating frictionless travel experiences for business and leisure travelers,” Husry said

Each property in this expansion has been carefully selected to blend modern hospitality with the charm of its surroundings, offering a mix of style, comfort, and local cultural influences.

A Balanced Approach: Boutique and Affordable Stays

Of the 25 newly integrated hotels, eight will become part of the Vienna House Easy by Wyndham brand, offering contemporary and cost-effective accommodations. These hotels feature modern designs, inviting communal spaces, and smart amenities, catering to the needs of tech-savvy and experience-driven travelers.

The remaining 17 hotels will join the Trademark Collection by Wyndham, a brand known for preserving the uniqueness of each property while maintaining Wyndham’s standards of service. These hotels offer boutique-style experiences, appealing to travelers who appreciate individualized hospitality and distinctive architecture.

Wyndham’s Expanding European Footprint

This expansion aligns with Wyndham’s broader strategy to increase its market share in Europe’s dynamic hospitality sector. It also follows HR Group’s acquisition of Centro Holding and Centro Hotel Management in 2024, which contributed significantly to Wyndham’s growing European presence. By integrating these newly acquired properties into its brand portfolio, Wyndham further enhances its competitive position and visibility across key European destinations.

Dimitris Manikis, President of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA, commented on this expansion, stating:
“Europe continues to be a key region for Wyndham, and we remain committed to growing our presence in its most vibrant cities. Through our strong partnership with HR Group, we are delivering even more options for travelers who seek high-quality accommodations in prime locations.”

Looking Ahead: Wyndham’s Commitment to European Growth

As tourism in Europe continues to thrive, Wyndham’s latest expansion reflects its dedication to providing diverse accommodation options that cater to modern travelers’ needs. With increasing demand for strategically located, well-designed, and service-driven hotels, Wyndham’s strengthened presence in Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands ensures it remains at the forefront of Europe’s evolving hospitality landscape.

By leveraging its trusted partnership with HR Group and expanding in key urban markets, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts continues to reinforce its reputation for exceptional hospitality, innovative guest experiences, and long-term growth.
