Air India has launched ‘Vista Stream,’ a free wireless inflight entertainment service available on most of its aircraft, excluding the A350 and upgraded B777 models.
Air India, India’s premier global airline, is enhancing luxury travel with the introduction of an expanded Premium Economy Class.
This expansion follows a significant increase in premium seat sales, which have doubled over the last three years, reflecting rising demand.
For a limited time, Air India is offering Premium Economy seats at just Rs 599 above the standard Economy fares on domestic routes, with prices varying based on the route and demand.
Expanded Premium Economy Seats on Domestic Flights
Air India stands as the sole Indian carrier offering Premium Economy, alongside Business and Economy Classes. This service is now available on 39 domestic routes, providing more than 50,000 seats weekly. Major routes such as Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Bengaluru, Delhi-Hyderabad, Mumbai-Bengaluru, and Mumbai-Hyderabad account for almost 34,000 of these seats.
As part of an upgrade, 27 older Airbus A320s will be converted to a three-class cabin layout, boosting Premium Economy capacity by 30%, bringing the total to over 65,000 seats weekly. These revamped aircraft, featuring new seating in all cabins, will be deployed on additional domestic and short-haul international routes.
