Pan Am revives its legacy with exclusive 2025 journeys, retracing iconic transatlantic routes from New York to Europe on a luxurious 12-day private jet tour.
Pan American World Airways (Pan Am) is set to revive its rich aviation legacy with an extraordinary offering in 2025, called ‘Tracing the Transatlantic.’ This exclusive event will feature two luxurious 12-day journeys aboard a privately chartered jet, retracing the iconic airline’s original transatlantic routes from New York to Europe. Along the way, travelers will enjoy stops in Bermuda, Lisbon, and London, each destination evoking the golden era of air travel.
Pan Am, established in 1927, was not just an airline but a symbol of the golden age of aviation. Known for pioneering many of the world’s first transcontinental and transatlantic routes, the airline became synonymous with luxury, sophistication, and innovation. Its glamorous flight attendants, gourmet meals, and legendary Flying Boats, which were outfitted with dining rooms and sleeping quarters, helped redefine international travel. For decades, Pan Am set the bar for commercial aviation, becoming a global leader until its operations ceased in 1991.
In a nod to its illustrious past, Pan Am is offering these two exclusive journeys in collaboration with Bartelings and Criterion Travel. Set for 2025, each journey will host a select group of just 50 passengers, ensuring an intimate and luxurious experience. A specially refurbished Boeing 757-200 will transport guests in style, designed to replicate Pan Am’s original first-class cabin. Travelers will be treated to reclining seats and the finest amenities, including endless Champagne and caviar.
The first of these two epic journeys will kick off on June 27, 2025, in New York City with a glamorous gala at the iconic Waldorf Astoria hotel, which recently completed a billion-dollar renovation. From there, the itinerary follows the historic paths of Pan Am’s original Flying Boats. Guests will stay at the prestigious Rosewood Bermuda, enjoy luxury accommodations at the Four Seasons Ritz in Lisbon, and visit Marseille, France. The adventure continues with a stay at The Savoy in London, United Kingdom, and concludes at the grand Dromoland Castle in Foynes, Ireland, before returning to New York for a grand finale celebration at the Waldorf Astoria.
In addition to the five-star accommodations and private jet service, guests on this 2025 journey will indulge in unique experiences. Highlights include an evening of Fado music in Lisbon, an exclusive tour of Kensington Palace in London, and a special dinner at the Flying Boat Museum in Ireland, which is home to the world’s only replica of the famous B314 Boat. Craig Carter, the CEO of Pan Am and steward of its brand, will personally host the journey, ensuring that every aspect of the trip reflects the airline’s timeless commitment to elegance and luxury.
This journey is a rare opportunity to not only relive the glory of Pan Am but to experience the pinnacle of air travel that defined an era.
