Emirates

Emirates has unveiled plans to elevate the travel experience for passengers on its Dubai-Riyadh flights by introducing newly retrofitted Boeing 777s. The enhanced aircraft will begin operating on Emirates’ second and third daily flights between the two cities, starting on March 30 and May 7, 2025, respectively.

With this move, Emirates aims to provide its passengers more opportunities to indulge in its latest generation Business Class seats, along with its much-acclaimed Premium Economy offering. These upgrades make it more convenient than ever to travel to and from Riyadh in unparalleled comfort and style, whether for business or leisure.

The new retrofitted Boeing 777s will make Riyadh the first city in the Middle East and GCC to be served exclusively by Emirates’ latest aircraft, underscoring the airline’s commitment to bringing the highest standards of air travel to this vital route. Furthermore, Riyadh joins a select group of destinations in the airline’s network to be served with these state-of-the-art aircraft.

Flight Details and Timeline

Emirates’ refurbished Boeing 777s will operate on the following flights:

  • From March 30, 2025: EK815 and EK816 will feature the upgraded aircraft.
  • Starting May 7, 2025: EK817 and EK818 will be serviced by the retrofitted Boeing 777, initially operating six times per week. The aircraft will be deployed daily starting August 11, 2025.

The newly retrofitted Emirates Boeing 777 first launched on Riyadh routes in October 2024 with flights EK819 and EK820. The overwhelmingly positive response and strong demand from passengers have led to this expansion, allowing more travelers to experience Emirates’ premium products across all cabin classes.

Premium Cabin Features

The retrofitted Boeing 777s come with a range of upgrades that enhance the passenger experience. Premium Economy is now available in a spacious 2-4-2 configuration, ensuring greater comfort and more personal space for travelers. Business Class has been redesigned to offer a 1-2-1 seating arrangement with direct aisle access, delivering heightened privacy and ease for every passenger. Additionally, the First Class suites have been updated, providing passengers with an even more luxurious and refined environment, while the Economy Class cabin has also been refreshed for a more pleasant journey.

Chauffeur-Drive Service Now Available in Riyadh

Emirates has also introduced its exclusive Chauffeur-Drive Service (CDS) in Riyadh for First and Business Class passengers. This service offers a premium, door-to-door travel experience that complements the airline’s world-renowned in-flight service. Riyadh is currently the only city in the region where this service is available, making it an exclusive offering for Emirates passengers flying premium cabins.

Continued Commitment to Saudi Arabia

Emirates continues to strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia, operating a robust 72 weekly flights to four key destinations, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Madinah. The airline uses a mix of Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s on these routes, ensuring travelers have access to the highest levels of comfort and service available in the skies.

As Emirates expands its fleet of retrofitted Boeing 777s, it further solidifies its position as a leader in premium air travel, offering passengers an exceptional flying experience on both short and long-haul journeys.
