Dubai’s world-famous fountain show is set to take a final bow on April 19, drawing the curtain for a major transformation. Located at the foot of Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain will go dark temporarily as it undergoes a sweeping five-month renovation to upgrade its lighting, sound system, and water choreography.

Dubai Mall’s customer service confirmed that all shows will be paused during the enhancement period. The popular abra rides that offer up-close views of the fountain will also be suspended.

Dubai’s legendary fountain, a star attraction near the Burj Khalifa, will stage its final show on April 19 before shutting down for a major upgrade. The iconic water feature is set to undergo a complete transformation, with enhancements planned for its choreography, lighting, and audio systems.

According to Dubai Mall’s customer service, the fountain’s performances will be put on hold during the renovation period. Abra rides that operate on the fountain will also be suspended while the work is underway.

The extensive five-month project is aimed at revitalizing the experience and delivering a more spectacular visual and musical showcase once the fountain returns to action.

The makeover of this famed landmark is set against a firm timeline, with Dubai Mall stating the goal is to have the fountain back in full operation by October 2025.
