The Disney Wonder has recently commenced its repositioning voyage in preparation for its second winter season in Australia and New Zealand. After completing a summer program in Alaska, the Disney Cruise Line vessel departed from Vancouver on September 23, 2024, embarking on a ten-night cruise to Hawaii.
The journey to Honolulu includes five days of sailing across the Pacific Ocean, with stops at Hilo, Kahului, and Nawiliwili, where the Wonder is scheduled for an overnight stay.
In early October, the 1,750-guest ship began the second leg of its repositioning journey to Australia, culminating in Sydney. This 15-night South Pacific itinerary includes visits to several destinations, such as Kahului, Pago Pago, Suva, and Noumea, following its departure from Honolulu.
During the 2024-25 winter season, the Disney Wonder will feature a variety of itineraries in Australia and New Zealand. For the initial phase of its multi-homeport deployment, the ship will sail from Brisbane and Melbourne on three- to seven-night cruises. While most of these itineraries will primarily consist of sea days, others will include visits to destinations in Tasmania and New South Wales, including Hobart and Eden.
In late November, the ship will reposition to New Zealand for two- to five-night cruises to nowhere, departing from Auckland. Before returning to North America, the Disney Wonder will also offer cruises from Sydney and Melbourne between late December 2024 and late February 2025.
In addition to the “cruises to nowhere,” the final segment of the ship’s deployment in Australia will encompass three- to six-night cruises to various regional destinations, including Noumea, Hobart, and Eden.
Following its return to Alaska for a summer cruise program in 2025, the Disney Wonder is slated to return to Australia for a third consecutive season. This deployment will extend from mid-October 2025 to early February 2026, featuring itineraries departing from Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland.
