Crystal, the industry leader in luxury cruise experiences, has announced a new order with the renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri to construct a third ocean-going vessel. This expansion comes as part of the option included in the two-ship agreement unveiled earlier this summer.
The new ship will accommodate 690 guests (based on double occupancy) and feature 61,800 gross tons, mirroring its sister ships with an array of amenities and innovative designs crafted for ultimate comfort and indulgence. Internationally celebrated architectural firms have been selected to design the interiors, which will showcase premium materials and top-tier craftsmanship.
One highlight will be a sweeping promenade encircling the ship, echoing the beloved designs of Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, allowing guests to enjoy leisurely strolls with panoramic ocean views. Dining options will cater to a range of tastes, featuring a curated selection of world-class cuisine, including Umi Uma, the only Nobu restaurant at sea, and Beefbar, created by visionary restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi, alongside culinary collaborations with chefs Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo. In addition, Crystal will continue to offer exclusive entertainment and will introduce the Casino de Monte-Carlo, debuting on Crystal Symphony this month and Crystal Serenity in December.
The vessel will offer all-suite accommodations, each with a private veranda, and will include a popular single-occupancy option, specially designed for solo travelers. A high crew-to-passenger ratio will ensure personalized service, further enhancing the guest experience.
“Exercising this option and agreeing to build a third ship together showcases the trust and partnership between my family and Fincantieri, dating back to Sitmar Cruises and evolving through Silversea to our present vision with Crystal,” said Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Executive Chairman of A&K Travel Group.
Cristina Levis, CEO of A&K Travel Group, added, “We’re pleased to bring an expanded fleet to our guests, offering even more ways to explore the world with the extraordinary service and style synonymous with Crystal.”
This milestone comes two years after A&K Travel Group’s acquisition of Crystal in 2022, heralding a new chapter for the brand. Under A&K Travel Group’s guidance, Crystal has focused on elevating its offerings at sea and onshore, with plans to grow its fleet and deliver unmatched experiences for discerning travelers.
