Cebu-Pacific

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading low-cost carrier, began 2025 on a high note by receiving the year’s first addition to its fleet—a state-of-the-art Airbus A330-941, officially registered as RP-C3910 (MSN 2087). The aircraft, which took its maiden flight earlier this month on March 6, touched down in Manila after completing a direct delivery flight from Airbus’ manufacturing base in Toulouse, France.

The widebody jet departed Toulouse on March 27 and landed at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport around 9:20 AM local time on March 28. The non-stop journey spanned just over 14 hours, marking a significant milestone in Cebu Pacific’s ongoing efforts to modernize its operations with fuel-efficient aircraft.

To commemorate the occasion, the airline organized a dedicated planespotting event that drew aviation fans and media representatives alike. Enthusiasts were granted an exclusive glimpse of the gleaming new aircraft as it arrived, symbolizing another step forward in Cebu Pacific’s sustainability roadmap.

This 459-seat Airbus A330neo is the first of four next-generation widebody jets that Cebu Pacific plans to integrate into its fleet over the course of 2025. In total, the airline expects to receive seven new aircraft this year—an investment aimed at reinforcing its position as one of Asia’s fastest-growing carriers.

Built with the latest NEO (New Engine Option) technology, the Airbus A330-941 promises to enhance the airline’s operational efficiency. Compared to older models, this new aircraft burns approximately 15% less fuel per trip and generates a significantly lower noise footprint, aligning with Cebu Pacific’s ambition to offer greener, more sustainable travel.

The airline’s growing fleet already includes a mix of Airbus A330s, A320s, A321s, and ATR turboprop aircraft, and its average fleet age ranks among the youngest in the world. By continuing to prioritize modern, fuel-efficient aircraft, Cebu Pacific aims to not only lower operational costs but also meet increasing demand for domestic and regional air travel.

As the first delivery of 2025 sets the tone for the months ahead, Cebu Pacific is signaling a strong commitment to innovation, passenger comfort, and environmental stewardship. With multiple additional aircraft slated to arrive in the coming months, travelers can expect enhanced service and expanded connectivity across the airline’s growing route network.
