Budapest Airport launches its first direct flight to Kuwait with Jazeera Airways, enhancing Middle Eastern connections and boosting summer travel options.
Budapest Airport, a key hub within the VINCI Airports network, has partnered with Visit Hungary to introduce its first-ever direct connection to Kuwait. This landmark service, operated by Jazeera Airways, represents a major milestone in expanding Hungary’s links to the Middle East.
The new route will connect Budapest and Kuwait City twice a week from June 5 to September 25, 2025, utilizing Jazeera Airways’ state-of-the-art Airbus A320 aircraft, offering 174 seats per flight. This addition elevates Kuwait City to the status of Budapest Airport’s seventh Middle Eastern destination, joining Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Israel, Jordan, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. It also marks Jazeera Airways’ debut operation at Budapest Airport, significantly broadening travel options for passengers.
Beyond linking Hungary to Kuwait, the route is strategically positioned to facilitate connections from India, solidifying Budapest’s reputation as a gateway to the Middle East and South Asia. Visit Hungary has played a pivotal role in supporting this initiative, aligning with efforts to boost tourism and connectivity.
This seasonal service contributes to the airport’s robust 2025 summer schedule, which includes nearly 17,000 weekly seats to the Middle Eastern region. The new connection is expected to cater to both business and leisure travelers, enhancing Budapest Airport’s appeal as a dynamic travel hub.
