Bob W, the Helsinki-based hospitality company known for its tech-driven and sustainable serviced apartments, has announced its third Athens property, marking another milestone in its pan-European expansion.
The new Bob W Stadiou, located at 54 Stadiou Street, will offer a blend of modern convenience, sustainable design, and hyper-local experiences.
This project is a result of a long-term lease agreement between Bob W and Blend Development, a leading real estate developer in Greece.
Bob W Stadiou will be developed from a former office building into premium serviced apartments, aligning with the company’s commitment to energy efficiency and modern hospitality solutions.
A Key Location in Athens’ Historic Center
The Stadiou Street property sits in the heart of Athens’ city center, close to landmarks, business districts, and major transport links.
This expansion follows the success of Bob W Akadimia and Bob W Eolou, strengthening Bob W’s presence in Greece and growing its portfolio to over 5,000 units across Europe.
Niko Karstikko, Co-founder & CEO of Bob W, emphasized the importance of this move, stating:
“We believe in Athens and Greece as a long-term, sustainable market.
Our expansion reflects the increasing demand for high-quality, tech-driven hospitality, and we are committed to bringing more innovative properties to the region in the future.”
Commitment to Sustainability and Smart Hospitality
The redevelopment of Bob W Stadiou will focus on:
- Energy-efficient insulation and lighting
- Water-saving installations
- 100% renewable electricity usage
This aligns with Bob W’s mission to provide sustainable accommodation without compromising comfort and technology.
Revitalizing Athens with Modern Hospitality
Paris D. Kallitsantsis, Managing Director at Blend Development, highlighted how this collaboration will help revitalize Stadiou Street and Athens’ urban landscape:
“As demand for high-quality serviced apartments grows, we see this project as a step forward in transforming the city center into a dynamic, traveler-friendly space.”
The renovation is already underway, with Bob W Stadiou set to welcome its first guests in winter 2025.
Broader Hospitality Developments in Athens
In addition to Bob W’s expansion, Blend Development has recently acquired and is redeveloping:
- A 2,300-square-meter, four-star hotel at 74 Syggrou Avenue, featuring 50 rooms and dining areas.
- A 32-room accommodation with retail spaces at 30 Peiraios & Geraniou Streets, set to open in Q3 2025.
These projects reflect Athens’ growing hospitality sector, emphasizing sustainability, luxury, and urban revitalization.
Bob W’s expansion in Athens strengthens its European presence, offering cutting-edge serviced apartments for modern travelers.
