Bahrain Tourism launches an innovative Meeting industry program, aiming to boost its appeal and position as a top global destination for conferences and major events.
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) recently held an exclusive gathering at Villa Mamas London, a well-known Bahraini restaurant in Sloane Square. The event introduced BTEA’s new Meeting industry support program, highlighting Bahrain’s exceptional appeal as a prime destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions to leading industry agents.
BTEA’s latest Meeting industry incentive program aims to bolster the business events sector by offering customized support to organizers and key stakeholders. The enhanced initiative includes visa facilitation, airport assistance, and cultural activities, tailored to ensure seamless event planning and execution. Assistance is based on the number of participants and the duration of their stay in Bahrain.
The updated scheme seeks to strengthen collaboration among government bodies, tourism agencies, and industry leaders. It aims to enhance the quality and appeal of Bahrain’s Meeting industry offerings, attract international business travelers, and contribute to regional economic growth.
Dana Al Saad, BTEA’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, delivered a keynote speech during the event.
Located on the southwestern coast of the Arabian Gulf, Bahrain is positioning itself as a premier Meeting industry destination, backed by cutting-edge facilities and strategic initiatives. The recent launch of Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), one of the most advanced event venues globally, underscores the nation’s commitment to hosting both regional and international gatherings. EWB features ten exhibition halls spanning 950,000 square feet, capable of accommodating everything from major conferences to smaller meetings.
Bahrain’s Meeting industry strategy aligns with the Bahrain Tourism Strategy 2022-2026, which focuses on global marketing, event hosting, and infrastructure development to drive tourism growth. The country’s unique blend of contemporary amenities and authentic Arabian hospitality makes it a compelling choice for business visitors.
The event also unveiled BTEA’s latest international campaign, “Bahrain. An Island, Limitless.” The campaign emphasizes Bahrain’s distinct Arabian island charm, highlighting its waterfront locations, diverse hospitality, entertainment options, and rich cultural heritage, creating endless possibilities for both business and leisure travelers.
The recent event at Villa Mamas London offered a valuable opportunity for Meeting industry agents to engage with BTEA representatives, learn about the new support program, and discover the extensive opportunities available in Bahrain.
