
Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (“Atlas” or the “Company”), a premier global leader in outsourced aviation logistics, announced today that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Steen, has been appointed to the Board of Governors for the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The IATA is a prominent global trade organization representing over 330 airlines in 120 countries.
With a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years in aviation and logistics, Mr. Steen’s new role highlights his commitment to Atlas Air’s priorities, including safety, strategic growth, and operational excellence. In his position on the IATA Board of Governors, Mr. Steen will contribute to shaping industry standards, influencing aviation policies, and promoting initiatives aimed at enhancing global connectivity along with a focus on safe, secure, and sustainable air travel worldwide.
