The Taxi Drivers’ Union of Attica (SATA) has announced a work stoppage on January 23, lasting from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, accompanied by a protest march to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. This decision was reached unanimously during a meeting of the union’s Board of Directors, which focused on discussions surrounding the proposed amendments to the Road Traffic Code, according to ANA.
As part of their efforts, SATA aims to advocate for the right of loaded taxis to use bus lanes. The protest will commence with a vehicle assembly at 9:30 AM at the intersection of Spyros Patsis Street and Athens Avenue. Participants will then proceed with a march to the Ministry of Transport, where they plan to submit a petition outlining the sector’s key demands.
