Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel, an iconic architectural masterpiece on Vienna’s Ringstrasse, has announced the appointment of seasoned luxury hotelier Jurgen Ammerstorfer as its new General Manager, effective January 7, 2025. In his role, Ammerstorfer will spearhead the final stages of the hotel’s extensive renovations, aimed at unveiling a comprehensive suite of Anantara experiences. His leadership will emphasize enhancing the property’s restaurant and bar offerings while introducing the renowned Anantara Spa.

A proud Austrian native, Ammerstorfer transitions to Anantara Palais Hansen from The Ritz Carlton, Vienna, where he served as General Manager from 2020 to 2024.

With over three decades of expertise in the global travel and hospitality industry, Ammerstorfer has built an impressive reputation in destination marketing and hotel management. His career spans multiple disciplines, including food and beverage, rooms, sales and marketing, and revenue management.

Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles with world-renowned luxury hospitality brands across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, in both resort and urban settings. His extensive portfolio includes collaborations with Leading Hotels of the World, IHG, Park Plaza, Preferred Hotels, Hilton, Celebrity Cruises, Shangri-La, and Marriott Luxury Brands. Notably, he also managed The London Edition, showcasing his entrepreneurial vision and leadership prowess.
