Amora Hotels and Resorts

Amora Hotels and Resorts has officially acquired the Hilton Adelaide, a five-star luxury hotel in Victoria Square, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion into the Australian hospitality market.

The South Australian Government, through its tourism and economic development initiatives, has highlighted the importance of luxury accommodations and major investments in driving Adelaide’s growing tourism and business sectors.

A Landmark Acquisition in Adelaide’s Hospitality Sector

The Hilton Adelaide, located at 233 Victoria Square, has long been a flagship property in the city, offering 377 guest rooms, 20 conference and meeting spaces, premium dining venues, and a range of world-class amenities including a tennis court, swimming pool, gym, and business lounge.

This acquisition marks the first ownership change in over 30 years, reinforcing investor confidence in Adelaide’s hospitality sector.

The sale was facilitated by CBRE Hotels, one of Australia’s leading commercial real estate firms, which noted that the transaction highlights the city’s strong appeal for global investors due to ongoing infrastructure projects and sustained tourism growth.

Amora Hotels and Resorts Strengthens Its Australian Presence

Amora Hotels and Resorts, a family-owned luxury hospitality group with properties across Australia and Thailand, sees this acquisition as a pivotal step in expanding its footprint in South Australia.

Earp Siriphatrawan, Owner of Amora Hotels and Resorts, emphasized that Adelaide’s dynamic business and tourism sectors make it an ideal location for the brand’s growth.
“We are delighted to welcome Hilton Adelaide into the Amora Hotels and Resorts portfolio. This acquisition aligns with our vision of establishing a strong presence in key Australian cities while delivering world-class hospitality experiences,” he stated.

Adelaide’s strategic location and its role as a hub for business, major events, and cultural tourism are key factors that contribute to its rising prominence in Australia’s tourism industry.

The South Australian Tourism Commission has identified continued investment in luxury accommodations and conference facilities as essential to meeting growing visitor demand.

Hilton’s Continued Expansion in Australia

While Hilton Hotels & Resorts has confirmed the sale, the company reiterated its commitment to the Adelaide market, citing a strong development pipeline across Australia, including new luxury hotels in Sydney and Melbourne.

A Hilton spokesperson stated, “The sale of Hilton Adelaide reflects a dynamic and buoyant market. We continue to explore opportunities to strengthen our presence in Adelaide and Australia.”

A Booming Hospitality Market in South Australia

The South Australian Government has been actively promoting hotel investments and infrastructure projects, recognizing the importance of luxury accommodations in supporting the state’s tourism economy.

With a strong focus on business events, international tourism, and major sporting and cultural events, Adelaide continues to attract leading hospitality brands and investors.

The Hilton Adelaide will remain operational during the transition period, with further updates expected regarding its rebranding under Amora Hotels and Resorts.
