Alerion Aviation, a leader in private jet management and charter services, has appointed Daniel Ramirez as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Bringing decades of aviation expertise and a proven track record in operational leadership, Ramirez is set to drive Alerion’s mission of delivering premier safety, service, and efficiency to its global clientele. He will oversee a team of over 100 aviation professionals and a fleet of more than 17 private jets, positioning Alerion for continued growth and industry leadership.

A Visionary Leader with Deep Industry Roots

Ramirez’s aviation career spans multiple high-profile leadership roles, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence and safety management. Before joining Alerion, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Vista Americas, a division of XOJET Holdings, where he managed the GMJ/Intel Shuttle—one of the industry’s most complex corporate flight programs. His role involved overseeing daily operations, safety protocols, maintenance, and human resources for a dedicated Part 125 carrier. Working closely with the Board of Directors, he played a pivotal role in optimizing fleet performance and regulatory compliance.

Prior to his tenure at Vista Americas, Ramirez led XOJET’s safety division as Director of Safety, where he played a key role in designing and implementing comprehensive aviation safety initiatives. He spearheaded programs such as the Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA), and Line Operations Safety Audit (LOSA), reinforcing the company’s commitment to industry-leading safety standards. His expertise helped establish XOJET’s Safety Management System (SMS), strengthening its reputation as one of the safest private aviation providers.

A Legacy in Aviation Safety and Operations

Ramirez’s impact on aviation safety extends beyond corporate fleets. During his tenure at Embraer Executive Jets, he served as Manager of Flight Safety Programs for North America and later as Air Safety Officer for Embraer Holdings. He was actively involved in global safety investigations under ICAO’s Annex 13 protocols and contributed to critical industry discussions as a member of the NBAA Safety Committee and the Flight Safety Foundation’s Business Aviation Safety Council.

His extensive safety leadership also stems from his distinguished service as a U.S. Naval Flight Officer and Air Safety Officer, where he played a key role in ensuring mission readiness and risk mitigation for military aviation operations.

Academic Excellence and Technical Expertise

Ramirez holds a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Lynn University, a Master of Aeronautical Science in System Safety and Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a graduate degree from the University of Florida’s Systems Engineering Program. As a commercially rated pilot, he is certified on multiple aircraft, including the Embraer 145 family, Embraer Praetor family, and E-175 aircraft.

With a career defined by innovation, strategic leadership, and an unwavering commitment to safety, Ramirez is set to lead Alerion Aviation into a new era of operational excellence, further solidifying its reputation as a premier name in private aviation.

“Daniel’s extensive experience in aviation safety, operations, and leadership will be instrumental as we continue to expand Alerion’s service offerings and enhance our industry-leading reputation for safety and service excellence,” said Robert Seidel, Chairman of The Board of Directors for Alerion Aviation. “We are excited to welcome Daniel to the Alerion team and look forward to his leadership in driving the company’s continued growth.”

Under Daniel Ramirez’s leadership, Alerion Aviation is set to strengthen its standing as a premier provider of private aviation services, delivering an unparalleled experience in aircraft management and charter solutions.
