With fully booked exhibition halls and a record-breaking 5,800 exhibitors from over 170 countries—5% more than 2024—the event underscores its global prominence as the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show. The event’s growth is evident in the participation of 1,300 senior buyers from across the industry. Significant increases have been observed in key segments, such as Cruises and Travel Technology, as well as in dynamic markets in Southern Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Arab states. Albania takes center stage as the host country with the slogan “Albania All Senses.”
The ITB Berlin Convention, with the slogan “The Power of Transition Lives Here,” will explore the challenges and opportunities arising from the rapidly evolving travel market. Notable speakers from top companies like Expedia, DERTOUR, Google, Uber, Booking.com, Microsoft Advertising, and more will offer valuable insights. New findings from the World Travel Monitor by IPK International reveal that the travel industry’s outlook is strongly positive.
In 2024, outbound travel grew significantly, returning to pre-pandemic 2019 levels, with growth seen across the M.I.C.E segment and rising demand from Asia. Popular destinations like Spain, the USA, Germany, and Italy lead the rankings, while an increasing demand for sun & beach holidays, city breaks, and unique experiences showcases travelers’ desire for flexible and personalized travel.
