Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines are celebrating a decade of partnership, marking a milestone that has connected New Zealand to over 55 destinations worldwide.

Since launching alliance flights in 2015, the partnership has served over 5.5 million passengers, offering seamless travel options between New Zealand, Singapore, and key global markets.

According to New Zealand’s Ministry of Transport (MoT) and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the alliance has strengthened international connectivity, expanded tourism growth, and enhanced cargo transport between the two nations.

Expanding Travel Options & International Reach

With up to 38 return flights per week between New Zealand and Singapore, travelers benefit from greater flexibility and convenience. The partnership enables smooth connections through Singapore Changi Airport, consistently ranked as the world’s best airport by Skytrax and Airports Council International (ACI).

Key features of the alliance include:

  • Three daily services between Auckland and Singapore (jointly operated).
  • A fourth seasonal daily flight during peak summer travel.
  • Daily Christchurch-Singapore flights, increasing to 10 weekly flights during peak season.
  • Seamless domestic connectivity within New Zealand, linking 20 destinations across the North and South Islands.

According to Tourism New Zealand and the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE), the alliance has been instrumental in attracting high-spending international visitors, particularly from:

  • United Kingdom, India, and Germany (top inbound markets).
  • Thailand, Southeast Asia, and the UK (most popular outbound destinations for Kiwi travelers).

Supporting Tourism & Economic Growth

The New Zealand-Singapore air corridor has played a pivotal role in boosting tourism and business connectivity, with Christchurch and the South Island benefiting significantly from the direct Singapore-Christchurch service.

To mark this milestone, Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines have launched a global marketing campaign titled “Celebrating 10 Years of Partnership”, reinforcing their tagline:

“Stronger together, wherever you go.”

The campaign will be featured across print, digital, and social media platforms, showcasing the seamless connections and premium travel experiences offered by both airlines.

As part of the celebrations, limited-time promotional fares from New Zealand to Singapore and beyond are available from March 17 to March 31, 2025.
