A shocking incident unfolded on Air India’s Delhi-Lucknow flight as a 52-year-old passenger was found dead upon landing, triggering an urgent investigation.
A 52-year-old traveler was found deceased aboard Air India flight AI2485 upon arrival at Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport around 8:10 am on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Air India flight AI2485, operated by Tata-owned Air India using a Vistara Airbus A320neo, departed from Delhi International Airport (DEL) bound for Lucknow Airport (LKO).
Passenger Identified as Unresponsive
Other passengers noticed that the traveler, identified as Aashif Daulla Ansari from Gopalganj, Bihar, was unresponsive when crew members attempted to clear trays following the meal service. Medical professionals traveling on the flight immediately attended Ansari, discovering he had no detectable pulse. Authorities noted Ansari’s seatbelt was secured, and his food remained untouched, suggesting he may have become incapacitated during the flight.
The deceased was initially examined onboard by doctors, and subsequently airport medical teams transported him to a nearby hospital, where he was officially pronounced dead.
Authorities are now conducting a detailed investigation to determine the cause of Ansari’s death, which remains uncertain.
