Accor

Accor, a world-renowned hospitality brand, has unveiled plans for Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza, an exclusive new luxury hotel in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company (ADTIC). Slated to open in late 2027, the hotel will be ideally situated near the awe-inspiring Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Guests will enjoy unparalleled vistas of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks, promising an exceptional experience steeped in the country’s rich history and heritage.

“We are truly excited to bring the Sofitel Legend brand to the iconic landscape of Giza with this exceptional project. Here, luxury and history will converge in an unforgettable way. With Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza, we are creating a flagship destination that honors Egypt’s profound heritage and culture while marking a major milestone for our brand. We deeply appreciate the trust ADTIC has placed in us, and together, we are thrilled to establish a new landmark in Egypt.” — Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery and Emblems.

A New Chapter in Luxury Hospitality

The Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza, set to open soon, promises to offer a one-of-a-kind experience that blends Sofitel Legend’s iconic French sophistication with the rich cultural legacy of Egypt.

As part of Sofitel’s prestigious collection, this hotel will join the ranks of the brand’s global portfolio, recognized as the first French luxury hotel brand to expand internationally. Sofitel is renowned for its philosophy of hospitality, which combines refined luxury with a distinct French flair.

Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will be the eighth addition to this elite collection, offering an unparalleled setting where history and elegance meet. Sofitel Legend hotels are known for their grandeur, timeless charm, and historic significance, creating atmospheres that evoke captivating stories from the past. This new landmark will join other iconic locations in the network, such as Agatha Christie’s inspiration for “Death on the Nile,” the honeymoon destination of Charlie Chaplin and Paulette Goddard, and even the birthplace of James Bond, all while providing guests with spectacular views of the Giza Pyramids and immersing them in the legends of ancient Egypt.

The hotel will also become the second Sofitel Legend property in Egypt, joining Sofitel Legend Old Cataract in Aswan. Other locations in the brand’s portfolio include Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo in Panama City, Panama; Sofitel Legend Santa Clara in Cartagena, Colombia; Sofitel Legend Metropole in Hanoi, Vietnam; Sofitel Legend People’s Grand in Xi’an, China; and the upcoming Sofitel Legend The Mozart in Prague, set to open in 2027.

Offering 303 luxurious rooms and suites, the Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will expertly combine the grandeur of ancient Egypt with contemporary luxury. Guests can indulge in a high-end spa, fitness center, and infinity pools, all while savoring world-class cuisine at a range of restaurants, including an all-day dining venue and three specialty dining options, each with a stunning view of the Pyramids.

A Strategic Partnership with ADTIC

In partnership with ADTIC, a leader in Egypt’s hospitality and tourism sector since 1988, Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will benefit from ADTIC’s extensive experience in developing landmark hotels in prime locations. This collaboration reflects both companies’ shared commitment to creating exceptional properties that capture the essence of their surroundings while providing world-class service. Together, Accor and ADTIC aim to redefine luxury travel in Cairo and elevate Egypt’s position as a top destination for both international and local visitors.

ADTIC expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its commitment to Egypt’s hospitality industry.

“Together with Accor, we are crafting a transformative experience at the Sofitel Legend Pyramids giza, where the rich narrative of ancient Egypt meets unparalleled luxury. Our commitment to excellence will not only elevate the standards of hospitality but also celebrate the timeless beauty and heritage of this extraordinary destination.” — Yahia Kotub, CEO of ADTIC

A Premier Location with Exceptional Views

Nestled a mere 500 meters from the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza offers unparalleled proximity to one of the most eagerly awaited cultural landmarks worldwide. Recently completed, the GEM will feature the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities, including the complete treasures from King Tutankhamun’s tomb. Beyond showcasing Egypt’s ancient heritage, the museum is poised to be a major driver of regional tourism, making Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza the perfect starting point for a cultural journey. Furthermore, many of the hotel’s rooms boast stunning views of the Pyramids, adding to the allure of this prime location.

“We are very proud to enhance our Sofitel Legend portfolio with this magnificent property, our second Sofitel Legend in Egypt. This unique brand, blending French zest with legendary properties and destinations, was reignited just one year ago. With this being the third Sofitel Legend signing this year, we are seeing strong momentum for the brand across all continents, with many more projects to come. Our vision is to expand the Sofitel Legend network from six remarkable hotels open today to a collection of 15 iconic jewels within the next five years, and we are on track to achieve this ambitious objective. We look forward to partnering with ADTIC to serve the ever-evolving global luxury traveler in Egypt.” — Xavier Grange, Chief Development Officer Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery and Emblems
