Cathay Pacific

Bridge

Cathay Pacific has officially reopened The Bridge lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, marking a key milestone in its massive HK$100 billion investment program focused on upgrading its aircraft fleet, enhancing cabin experiences, modernizing airport lounges, and driving innovation across its services.

Cathay Pacific has recently revealed the refreshed design of The Bridge lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), showcasing a modernised space that blends comfort, elegance, and functionality. Spanning an impressive 27,000 square feet, the lounge is renowned for its expansive layout and now features a more refined aesthetic with natural materials, improved culinary offerings, and upgraded seating and amenities.

The Bridge is divided into two distinct sections. The left side highlights traditional Chinese dishes and regional delicacies, delivering a locally inspired experience. In contrast, the right side presents a broader international menu and includes an exclusive area reserved for First Class passengers and Cathay Diamond members. This strategic layout ensures all guests can enjoy a tailored and elevated pre-flight experience.

Exploring the newly transformed Bridge Lounge

Cathay Pacific has long envisioned its airport lounges as more than just waiting areas—they are thoughtfully designed spaces where travelers can unwind, recharge, and prepare for their journeys. The newly refreshed Bridge Lounge now elevates that vision even further. Offering expansive panoramic views of the runway, The Bridge now aligns more closely with the airline’s premium lounges like The Pier. Its reopening is also well-timed, as it helps accommodate more passengers while The Wing undergoes renovations. During this period, The Deck will temporarily function as the First Class lounge starting May 21.

Stepping inside the revamped Bridge Lounge, guests will find a more open and inviting environment, despite the increase in seating capacity. The enhanced design places a strong emphasis on culinary and beverage experiences—highlighted by what is likely the airport’s longest bar table. For those seeking to refresh before a flight, the updated shower and bathroom facilities now feature a sleek, minimalist aesthetic with generous space and modern fittings. Adding a touch of culture and creativity, the lounge also showcases original pieces by local artists as part of Cathay Pacific’s curated art initiative, enriching the atmosphere with distinctly regional flair.

The redesigned Bridge Lounge blends intentional design, carefully selected materials, and welcoming features to cultivate a warm, home-like environment where guests feel appreciated and at ease. Every aspect of the space has been curated to evoke a sense of calm, comfort, and thoughtful hospitality.

Cathay Pacific set out to design a lounge environment that delivers a personal and welcoming experience for every guest. The newly reimagined space prioritizes comfort and calm through carefully selected elements, including thoughtfully arranged furniture, curated dining options, and subtle ambient touches such as scent and music. The overall atmosphere has been crafted to provide a tranquil escape, offering travelers a refined sanctuary that enhances their journey and creates a lasting sense of care and sophistication.

Cathay Pacific is set to debut several new flagship lounges over the next two years. As part of the airline’s extensive investment exceeding HK$100 billion (around USD 12.78 billion), new lounges will open in Hong Kong and Beijing, along with the brand’s first-ever flagship lounge in New York. This expansive initiative also includes upgrades to its aircraft fleet, cabin interiors, and digital platforms, reinforcing the airline’s long-term commitment to excellence and innovation across every touchpoint of the journey.
