Houston Airports,

Travelers arriving in Houston now have a fresh reason to extend their time in the terminal, whether they’re in need of a snack, forgot their charger, or want to pick up a quick souvenir. Paradies Lagardère, the concessions partner for Houston Airports, has introduced H-Town, a new convenience store located on the Arrivals level of the recently opened Terminal E at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The store is inspired by Houston and Texas, offering a variety of local-themed souvenirs, cold drinks, travel essentials, and easy-to-grab snacks—serving as a warm welcome and a convenient stop for new arrivals.

Located just outside the secure area, H-Town is ideally situated for passengers exiting customs or baggage claim on their way to the Terminal E Arrivals curb. The store features a selection of Texas-themed items like cutting boards shaped like the state, Astros baseball caps, keychains, books, magazines, activity books, and travel accessories like neck pillows—blending local pride with useful travel necessities.

For travelers arriving late at night or following a long international flight, H-Town provides a valuable extra: 24/7 refrigerated coolers positioned outside the store. Even when the store is closed, passengers can still grab cold beverages and snacks, making it a convenient option for those who experience delays or land during off-hours.

“This is exactly the kind of elevated experience we want our passengers to have,” said Libby Hurley, director of concessions for Houston Airports. “H-Town is another example of how we’re reimagining the journey—offering retail and dining options that reflect Houston’s character and meet travelers’ needs right when and where they need it most.”

The new store is a key element of a larger initiative aimed at improving the overall passenger experience in the revamped IAH International Terminal. This project includes expanded amenities, improved signage, and a fresh selection of food and retail options, all working to elevate the airport’s status as a premier global hub.

With Houston experiencing an ongoing surge in passenger traffic, airport authorities emphasize that strategic investments in well-selected retail spaces—particularly in high-traffic zones such as Terminal E Arrivals—are essential for making travel more seamless, enjoyable, and better integrated with the city’s vibrant atmosphere.
