Young adult tour operator Contiki has launched three new trips to Indonesia in response to the growing interest in travel to Asia, following the success of its Philippines tour. Bali, in particular, has emerged as one of the most searched-for destinations among locations Contiki doesn’t currently offer. Bookings to Asia have surged nearly 20 percent compared to last year.

These new trips are designed for travelers aged 18-35, offering a chance to explore Indonesia’s stunning natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and unique culinary traditions.

One of the offerings is the 8-day Bali Island Hopping trip, which highlights Bali’s cultural capital, Ubud. Here, travelers can meet locals, experience traditional cooking and farming methods, and take part in exciting activities like white-water rafting, snorkeling in the Gili Islands, and diving lessons.

For those looking for a shorter adventure, the 6-day Komodo & Flores Sail itinerary takes travelers on an island-hopping journey starting in Labuan Bajo. The trip includes a 2-night stay on a houseboat, along with hiking on Komodo Island, snorkeling, swimming with manta rays, visiting the famous Pink Beach, and exploring Kalong Island, home to thousands of bats.

The 13-day Indonesia Island Hopping trip combines both the Bali and Komodo & Flores experiences for a comprehensive Indonesian adventure.

Contiki’s latest offerings come amid a growing trend among young travelers for cultural and adventure-based trips, moving away from typical party-focused vacations. With these new island-hopping experiences, Contiki aims to meet the demand for more meaningful travel experiences in Indonesia, beyond the typical nightlife scene.

In the past 18 months, Contiki has introduced over 50 new trips, including exciting new offerings such as European run club tours and expanded trips throughout Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
